Weta's Moose from Chappie at SDCC (via thx217)

The Moose looks like it's going to be a great piece!

As cool as the District 9 Exosuit was, the fact that so many low-poly/faceted parts (from the CG files) that should have been perfectly round (as seen on film) were left in the final statue, still amazes me. Did no one actually notice at the prototype stage, or was it just too far along to go back and correct?? The size didn't bug me nearly as much as all the detail the got messed up like that. Wish they could revisit that piece and do it justice. And BIGGER of course!

In the meantime, The Moose looks sweet!

I love my movie mech's and the Moose is pretty cool, but I really hated Chappie.

I had heard all about it before watching, so I was prepared to be disappointed. Very low expectations going in made it more tolerable to watch (for me anyway). Praying that he doesn't royally screw up the next Alien film!

I love the Moose and I'm very pleased Weta decided to make a statue out of it. I hope this is just a proto Weta will refine and not the final piece.
Sadly the size won't change
Instant PO for me

Agreed. This should be a 1/6 scale piece!

I spoke to Weta at San Diego Comic Con this year about it. They are in the process of looking for the logistic of producing this piece. It's on their radar so hopefully soon they will seal the deal and get started.

In 2015, I saw the Moose at SDCC. Now, I'm excited to see it come to life.
