Boston Con and General question
Hi folks haven't posted in a long while. Lotta changes in my life but I stop by from time to time to see what's happening. Anyway was wondering two things: first who is going to the Boston Con next weekend and 2. How do you guys go about getting commissions? Do you contact the artist in advance or can you get a decent sketch by standing in line? New territory for me and I'd like to have a plan. Thanks for any help.
Oh yeah if anyone is going Let me know if you want to meet just to say hi let me know. (I'm not being weird it's always nice to meet brothers/sisters from the forum) we've had some epic get together's in the past I miss those days!

enjoy the show. you can either try to contact the artist beforehand for commissions either via fb, twitter, instagram, etc. some have lists for pre-con pieces. usually quality is much better for at home than at show.
for those that dont have pre-show pieces you can get them at the show. but for the popular artists, plan to get to them as soon as foors open. many take a list. some lists fill up immediately, some dont.
there are some artists that still do wait in line sketching but those are not as common.

I'd recommend Uminga, Fletcher, CPWIII, and Andrews. Luckily, our resident art rep, Bob Shaw, represents all of them and is putting on the convention. Contact him, all good. Also, dude named Ottley will be up there, he's ok.
