Captain America: Castaway in Dimension Z vol. 1 - I never would have bought this if not for finding it at half-off. $25 for a 5-issue hardcover (and only half of the story, at that) is ridiculous.

This past holiday weekend I had an opportunity to go through all my books. Man, have I amassed a giant collection. Happened pretty quickly, but assuming I got anywhere between 5 and 15 books a week, should've known. I cancelled a bunch of my subs today at the shop. I have so much to read. I read through a bunch of newer stuff this weekend and so much of it is total garbage. I really stay away from the big 2, but, the majority of the "Indy" stuff I have sucks. I've tried so many books over the last few years and there are only a few that I'll keep. Naturally, I kept Invincible, Invincible Universe, and The Walking Dead. Also kept were Afterlife with Archie, and Super Dinosaur. That ought to do.

I hear you. I've been trying a bunch of the #1's from Image lately and most of them are total garbage. I rarely make it to a #2 with their titles.

Was really tempted to pick up All-New X-men 22.NOW but these prices just turn me away from picking up anything new.
Slow week for me. Just JL & Origin II #2

Please keep us posted on this. I decided to drop out after #8 where the first arc ended. It was too much of a slow burn for me.
I'll go for the 2nd trade if the reviews are still good.
