Question for anyone who is "in the know" with Hot Toys. How often do they revisit characters? I don't get too many Hot Toys but started collecting their SW Leia figures. I started a bit late and missed out on original New Hope version. Does anyone suspect they would revisit her like they did the current Black Widow figure with the rolling eyeballs etc? I know they would never do the slave Leia version but i hope they would continue with a new version if nothing else, possibly Ewok Village or E1 Ceremonial Gown.

They'd done multiple Vader, Stormtrooper, BF (movie and TV), C3PO, R2D2, Luke and Solo. A new 2nd Chewbacca has just been revealed.

Whatever SW characters you are looking for, your chances are good. Just the matter of time.

I didn't start getting into HT until several years after it was released so I had to get the ANH Leia at collector prices. I think I paid around $400 in 2017.
Then I had to drop another $80 on a custom dress because the HT one was cheap and clunky. I think it was cocomunk on the Freaks board that organized it. Turned out well and improved the overall look of the figure considerably.

I'm no longer in a position to keep dropping money on this stuff regularly, so it's gonna sting when they get around to updating and improving all these, but I'm dead certain they will. I still have a lot of satisfaction with most of them, but moveable eyes are a game changer.

Apart from Marvel characters, SW is definitely another of their bread-and-butter IP. They will keep releasing updated version or variants of their existing / released SW figures.

I was their customer long before they called themselves Hot Toys. Their prices have gone up substantially since then. I haven't bought a figure from them for quite some time now.

I noticed a rehash of the Hoth Lea as Bespin escape Leia in the new Chewbacca promo pics. Looks like it has that rooted hair system. Wonder if that is a new piece or just created for the promo shots. If they were to do an update with the rolling eyeballs, I wish they would go EP IV.

Looks like it's sculpted to me, which would make sense as it looks to simply be the Bespin Leia head on the Hoth Leia body, with the addition of different boots.

Was so gung-ho to pre-order Bespin Leia when it went up, that I missed some business at work to do it.
The in hand figure was a disappoint to me. One of the very few I've had with HT figs.
It's not garbage, and I don't hate it. It's just that it's not as amazing as I expected given the costume and how well the Hoth Leia turned out. It's a slightly different looking head sculpt, with her face looking leaner and those zombie eyes and lack of expression not helping at all. The figure itself, do to the nature of the costume, is stiff looking as well.

If they put out a dedicated Bespin escape version, but juat change the boots and retain the Bespin gown headsculpt with no rolling eyeballs, it won't be much of an upgrade.

Storm troopers was and is their bread and butter. So many variations with very little difference other than some paint, a different colour armour, or slight change in the armour from one to the next.
