Prime 1: Persona 5 - 1/4 Makoto Niijima

The dimensions of the ghost in the shell statue is already a nightmare, so I skip on this surfboard. Great statue tho.

Oh wow, I was exactly right about the price LOL. Still having a hard time deciding whether to get Johanna or the regular version. Pricewise, obviously the regular version is much cheaper, but an extra $600 for a 1/4 scale Johanna seems like a decent value. However, Johanna would need to ship in a second box, making shipping a lot more expensive. Then there's the space issue with Johanna, which would take up the space of at least 2 regular 1/4 scale statues. When it comes to aesthetics, having Johanna is super cool but the regular version feels more dynamic. The regular/bonus arms also fit the regular version much better. I feel like if I were to get Johanna, I would only want to use the arms exclusive to Johanna, maybe also using the bonus pistol arm. The other arms feel out of place with Makoto sitting. This will be a hard decision!

I feel like with Johanna it's a lot more statue bang for buck, 900 for just her seems like too much :P

Bike in game is not very detailed, so this one looks very similar to the Amakuni 1/8 version, just 5X the price )

Something like this just doesn't need to exist to be honest. At least not at this scale. The P5 cast is a great candidate for one of those full party in one statue releases that they sometimes do. I can't imagine spending nearly $10,000 for the party in the end of the day. It's actually laughable to think about. And once you're at this scale, it gets to the point to where the bike overshadows Makoto so much she almost feels like she is taking away from the bike. The Persona designs are generally quite lanky and sleek so they honestly don't translate well to 1/4th in my opinion. Look at how much of her design just boils down to being legs in dark colors. In the newest picture Shoo posted, it is almost to the point to where Makoto is just a floating head in front of Johanna because of how much her outfit's colors blend into the bike and how uninteresting her overall silhouette actually is.

I think that the people who want to get Johanna are the ones who only plan to collect Persona 5 or just want their favorite character as a one-and-done, like me. I almost never collect a whole line and prefer to just get my favorite character(s) so this is perfect for me since Makoto was my favorite character from the game. Also, having this piece at 1/4 scale is great since it'll match all of my other resin video game pieces. As for how Makoto looks on Johanna, I understand your criticism based on that picture, but I think she'll look great in a properly lit shelf. If you feel like Johanna overshadows her or has an uninteresting silhouette while on Johanna, there's always the regular version, which I'm still considering as well. Can't really complain when Prime 1 provided everyone with the choice.

I will probably go with just-Makoto ver. Main reason: space.
Why would I get her at all: face is great, and there is just no good (or even acceptable) Makotos out there, otherwise I would gladly get PVC.
1/8 bike version face is terrible. 1/7 ver. has the famous Makoto bulge. Upcoming 1/7 looks good, but it's only school dress version, and I like them to be paired, school+thief (would be weird due to size difference, but hope it will work out anyway).
