RIP Pete Rose
Love him or hate him, he may be banned from the HOF forever for betting on his sport, but damn it was fun to watch him play. I?ll never forget how Luis Tiante?s blooper pitch baffled him during the 1975 World Series.

Growing up in a suburb of Cinci as a kid in the late 70s early 80s I got to see him play several times and cherish those memories. A real shame he will never be in the HOF. RIP

Great base baller. Does the HOF really mean as much now as it used to in baseball? IMO the basketball HOF has lost a lot of its meaning.

Don?t know in general but, as a fan, to me it does. I love seeing great players honored with these inductions.
Edit: And, obviously, it meant something to Pete Rose who never stopped lobbying to get into The HOF.

He was in the club HoF and has a statue at Great American with others such as Morgan and Bench so for many locals he was honored for what he did on the field.

He will get into the Hall now that he is dead. As should have always been. Never as a manager, but you can?t gamble your way to great skills. He has records that will never be touched.

I hope the HoF induction is sponsored by Draft Kings because sports gambling has become so common and interwoven now it is parody.

It is amazing how much the faux morality has changed in America.
