In the case of a broken body, I dont think they will be able to resell it. I thought they used to just tell you to destroy it further so I can't resell it, then send pics . Then they'd issue a refund or full replacement.

Statues rarely get sold out nowadays, if it does happen to a sold out piece I request for full refund and move on, let the next sucker take my damaged repaired return as their replacement.
Life is too short to deal with their replacement wait and bs, and there are too many statues to stress over any single one.....same advise can be applied to dating...

Great advice. It's more obvious now that Sideshow prefers the more casual, non-collector customer who wouldn't notice nor care if they got a return. I'm almost willing to pay SS a small restocking fee just to have the assurance of getting a brand new replacement. But nah, not even the few SS pieces I want will sell out anytime soon. The regular usually suffices, and there's always BBTS who always double-box statues with bubble cushioning.
After I use up my PCS credit, and with Prime 1's breakup, I don't have much of a reason to buy from SS.

Sideshow has great customer service but it is a gamble on what you get as a replacement piece.

It's also a gamble on who you get as a customer service rep. I can tell you, in my experience, if you get Kyle, disconnect the chat and try again.
The only "help" I've ever received from him are canned responses and passive-aggressive non-answers.

The last few statues, I did not want to settle with less quality or someone else return. So I bought 2-3 of the same at once and returned the worst.
I've not bought a sideshow statue for couple of years, but reading all this. Ohh man, I see nothing has changed.
Except double/triple price..

Before you knock Sideshow consider this alternative...
Two polystone gun accessories (magnetic parts for the base of a bust) were shipped to me from China in a small padded manila envelope. There was no foam protection inside, just a mess of tightly wrapped clear tape. Inside the tape, shards of polystone stuck to the sticky part of the tape. Resting against the shards in the middle of that mess were the polystone gun pieces.
To be clear this was from a custom company and not Sideshow.

I dont keep faulty pieces anymore. It isnt worth it.
The base on my Batwoman PF was crumbling apart by the footpeg.
And I feel it did that due too poor design.
The footpeg was huge and inserted into a thin area on the base.
So, the peg was causing the base to crumble apart.
I didnt even bother asking for a replacement because I think eventually it will just happen again.
I was even past the return window, but Sideshow must have agreed that it was a considerable issue, because they agreed to still accept the return.
I know it gets annoying to hear this over and over, but with how high prices are now, I am less willing to give in to flaws.

After the second most of the times they will just tell you sorry they dont have any better stock left and only offer you a 20-35.00 refund to keep it or return it. That's what I normally get after the second replacement comes damaged. On super rare occasion one time I think they sent a third. But the chances are very slim.
