This is what my second photo shows, although its kind of roughed up, not just the paint rubbed off. But yeah, its red under the black.

Mine arrived a few weeks back. It doesn't have the peg issue, thank puppies. Nor any other glaring flaw that I could find... My only problem is that she has a cut in the black paint on her mask, and if you look at her face up close you can see the white of her skin in the black cut. It should be easy to fix but I have to decide on what to use first. I was thinking a bit of acrylic paint, but I'm afraid it's going to dry in a different texture (too matte or too glossy) compared to the rest of the mask. As of right now she's still got her little flaw as I'm too chicken to do anything about it )

Still it's a wonderful figure and I'm grateful mine hasn't got any of the other, much more violent, issues that others seem to have... Other than the cut she's perfect

If you have free return with amazon id just re-order and keep returning till you get a good one.

Since yours doesn't sound like a huge chip missing and just a scratch.
Id use marker on the finger rub into the scratch technique, then clean off the excess being careful not to touch the face.
Don't use a sharpie dries with a purple hue.
Try one of those cheap crappy dollar store markers.

Thank you for that. The purple tint is exactly what I was fearing color-wise, plus the possible difference in texture (I've noticed that certain markers leave behind a certain texture). I'll gather up some courage and fix it
