I liked it even in pictures. The simpler costume and 'X' base made the price a bit glaring, but it was well done. I just wish the hair was redder and that they kept the pupils for at least one of the potraits.
The only things I liked about the XM piece were the base and the stellar paint job. This looks like a superior sculpt so far (it damn well better be, given SS's advantage in seeing what the competition could bring) but it's only fair to wait until the full reveal to make that call.

Not really worried about competition with other companies. I just want great statues that aren't 1000$ to get , hopefully this is one and under 500$

This is great news and there is no reason that they won't be able to make it spectacular although I have to admit that I already don't really care for the face of the concept art. I'm sure that the body will be great so if they fix that face and don't go crazy on the price, I'll be in.
