After seeing Prime 1's I just ordered the Sideshow version. It is the better version in my opinion and I think it will be the cheaper of the 2. The texture on the Prime 1 was too cartoony looking to me. This is the first statue I have bought in years. I hope it turns out good!

All the Venom's have something off in my eyes.
Sideshow would be the best if it wasn't for that weird texture.
XM would be great if it wasn't for the glossy "veins".
The tendrils on the P1 look off.
All that said, if I had to buy one, I'd lean towards the P1 version... doubly so if he can be displayed without the tendrils. It's odd to think that 2099 and Anti-Venom look so much better than this.

None of them really sell me either. I really do not like the pose on the Prime 1. Looks like he is dancing to cotton eyed joe.
Three major efforts and three major strikes. The Gentle Giant version looked goofy too.

It seems like all these companies maybe knew all these Venom statues were coming out at the same time and each one tried to do something different to set them aside or stand out from the others. When all we really wanted was just Venom. I like almost all of them for different reasons, but I'd change something about every single one of them if I could. Like I said before, I'll be buying the SS and Prime 1. Maybe GG Venom... maybe. Thing is GG is doing a whole line of 1/8 gallery statues and some of them look great. I have the Deadpool one and Punisher should be solicited soon.
