the original was all Sal. Romita Sr redrew the head as he did a lot at that time ... Stan wanted the characters to have a similar look for advertising and marketing purposes and Romita's style was what he wanted to define that look most of the time

If you notice, the first issues with this image as the corner box had a different head (Sal's) and then it switched to the version with the Romita head. Not coincidentally, that was about the same time that this image was being used heavily on packaging, etc.

I saw this and the guy did reach out to me to see if I wanted to purchase haha. But I think this is almost a recreation of a Mignola Hulk cover too. So lots of "homaging" going on with this.. haha.

Next installation, we have a young talent by the name of Idan Knafo Kerbis that I discovered on facebook/Instagram. Most of his pieces have space backgrounds and I immediately thought of Professor Hulk in Infinity Gauntlet and his 90s brown jumpsuit. Not Hulk's best choice of wardrobe I must admit but Idan made it look great. The colors are brilliant in person and I'm definitely thrilled to be able to add this to the homage series!
