Ok, i will confess... I have never read Crisis on Infinite Earths... lol It is time to confess because i will probably never read it at this point. I mean i have some experiance with old DC Comics, and they were all mediocre at best and some of them were really atrocious. lol

Also, it is annoying that if you don't read this and that, you are not a ''real'' comic book reader and that ''this and that'' is usually really bad. lol

So i have a very strong prejudice against old super hero comics and it is not like modern super hero comics is good. The only modern super hero comics that i enjoyed reading in the last 10 years or so from the big two was Punisher Omnibus by Rick Remender and even it had a major flaw that really bothered me.

I think i am pretty much done with Super Hero Comics, but i will get a statue or action figure, here and there. I still need a good Punisher statue for example.

Crisis on Infinite Earths is a great and groundbreaking read. George Perez’s art with Dick Giordano’s inks is stunning.

Of course, you’ve probably heard this before, and you know you must be old when someone refers to this series as “old.” Granted, it did come out almost 40 years ago, but I was a young adult at the time and, to me, it doesn’t feel that long ago. But, of course, it was.

I still maintain that the Waid/Samnee Batman & Robin: Year One series has been a great read thus far.

Based on your recommendation I'm going to check it out sometime. I just got the Batman: Full Moon HC and the art in that is fantastic.

Not familiar with it. Who’s on the creative team? Is it an Elseworld’s story, like Batman/Dracula: Red Rain, or in continuity?

It's a Black Label book. Pretty sure those are non continuity. Which is a good thing IMO. One of the best covers I own. It would fit nicely next to the fairly recent Batman/Dracula Elseworlds TPB.

Rodney Barnes (Killadelphia)
Steven Subic (Riddler Year One, Conan)
