Grey Hulk. I need an explanation why this is so popular
I am hearing grey hulk sells for over $9-10k. Thats insane. Can anyone tell me what is the deal with this statue. I mean, its ok, its not mesmorizing to me. Is it because it is the original concept of Savage hulk? But there have been grey hulks for a long time. Any why isn't the new Sideshow grey hulk that popular. Its the same design, but even better, and still for sale on the sideshow site. Just so curious about this.

I had 2 at one time. I should have held on to them.

I don t have the grey one but do have the green. If you like the monkey face then IMO is the best 1/4 green Hulk out there. The green paint app has so many hues in it that you won't see from the pics. I'm sure the grey paint is the same. Quality, this a solid piece. With the base, it is almost 50 lbs. The weight is primarily in the body too because the base is light and feels hollow.
The newer grey Hulk doesn't compare either. There is something off about the pose, the shoulder-neck muscles looks odd. I own the EX and it looks much better with the fabric shirt.

I think it comes under the heading of they don’t make them like this anymore.
They’re just not going to make 50 lbs beasts like this anymore.

I had a Bowen Hulk mini bust and I swear you definitely could have knocked someone out with that and caused brain damage because it was that heavy (this was the 2nd Hulk minion bust that Bowen did). I also had the Bowen Savage Hulk variant statue which weighed a ton. Fortunately when I sold it shipping was not the incredibly high cost that it is now.
