Will NEVER happen, unless Byrne is all but destitute .. and even then I very highly doubt it. The cancelation of X-Men The Hidden Years was the last straw in the Byrne/ Marvel coffin.

Should have been more specific. I did mean Byrne's pencils. I know there have been complaints all around about these two and was curious to see how the poll played out.

I agree with most of the posts. Claremont has been unreadable since the X-treme X-men started. At least with Byrne it kind of depends on the inker he gets.

Well you can't really compair pencils to writing, it's like compairing apples to oranges.

Byrne's biggest problem is that he's gotten lazy and doesn't pencil anymore, most of the time he draws with either a 0 or 1 Rapidograph pen, so he doesn't get the detail that he was so famous for in he's early days.

I think you can compare decline in drawing with decline in writing. That's like comparing a hill with a completely different type of hill. That's interesting about Byrne's new 'lazy' approach - you obviously know your stuff. Keep the facts coming!

I don't know, I think each of them can pull off a surprise every once in awhile. Although their recent stint together on JLA was a disappointment as was the Doom Patrol reboot. Still, I'd take them before Rob Liefeld any day

I don't think Byrne has done anything in a while...here is why, whenever I try to think about what I like from him going backwards in time...the first thing I come to is Fantastic Four run...man that was a while ago!

On Claremont, when I do the same thing I can stop at his FF run on Heroes return that 32 issue run with Larocca was excellent!! but his X stuff has not been good since X-tinction Agenda!

So I would say Byrne, only because he bombed badly on his last four or five attempts!

I'd kick Clermont in the ass if it helped him fall any faster.
