Yes, all these photoshops are throwing everything off, the P1 is not that big compared to a regular PF.

People always like to complain about the netting, but perfect accuracy aside it is not an issue at all and the paint is good for a factory job done 10 years ago.
The paint is not that good to a factory job "10" years ago :| Paints were just fine 10 years ago, sculpts are generally what have gotten better. The SWS maquette has a better paint job. Is it better then the average SS paint job from then? Still no not really, it's average for most people. It's a great sculpt by studio and that's it imo :|

It does seem out of proportion, but when I did the composite I scaled the Gambit at 21" height and Predator at 28".

A friend who went to Wonderfest in Japan said this piece is enormous and is quite big compared to the 1/3 Bane next to it.

Actually the Cinemaquette was a TRUE 1/3 Scale....the Wolf was a hair SMALLER....I have them side-by-side and clearly the Cinemaquette is more substantial. Slightly thicker & taller.

Here the two are sitting on the SAME CABINET...notice the height of the Cinemaquette Predator when you account for the fact that the Wolf has a THICKER BASE and is standing on an Alien....those who think they’re the same scale obviously do NOT own BOTH.

BOTTOMLINE: The P1 is likely LARGER than a true 1/4 scale...more like a 1/3.5 scale based on the proto at Wonderfest.

This is the Encounter statue from Narin. Not sure if the scaling is totally accurate here, but there doesn't appear to be as big a difference between Dutch and the creature canonically.

Arnold was 6'2", KPH was 7'2", 7'3". With costuming, you could add almost another foot to him. Either Sideshow undersized their statue -- which I find hard to believe since, despite their many issues, 1/4 scale is their bread and butter -- or Prime 1 indeed oversized their Predator. Good news for those who wanted a sizeable Jungle Hunter. Bad news for those who wanted a smaller, cheaper piece or something to display with other 1/4 pieces... potentially including the City Hunter wall art. Thankfully, the difference in scale isn't quite as noticeable between Predators since they're both large characters by default.

One might also conclude that this really will be the end-all, be-all Jungle Hunter from Prime 1 as it's already nearly 1/3 scale. Perhaps 1/3.5, as Freaky suggested.

As I mentioned previously, the P1 is an OVERSIZED 1/4 scale. I believe for licensing reasons they have to call it a 1/4 scale but in reality it’s larger.

Their Dutch PF was a tad undersize IIRC. Also it looks like he skipped legday :P Bread and butter whatever SS has undersized and oversized PFs plenty of times (see their other Arnold Conan PF which was definitely undersized and Batman which was way over). Also we can go by their listed height just fine but the proto shown isn't necessarily 100% Representative, their is always at least a little shrinkage from casting (usually they minimize as much as possible but there always will be some).

I don't know about the P2 but I feel like when we get it in hand it's going to be a tad smaller then we expect it to be.

Looking forward to seeing photos of this next to the Dog Alien.

Actually, this raises another question. If Prime 1 are making both 1/3 and 1/4 Aliens (for at least a couple designs), which would look best displayed with this Predator? Or would its existing between scales allow for flexibility there?

leg day,lol

Agreed. SS has a terrible track record at making true to scale statues.
My shock was just how extreme the difference is.

I have SS Conan and have to display him separate from other statues because he is so small.
