Rather pay the extra few bucks to P1 directly and avoid any middle man issues.

The DX is ordered at a local store, so at least there aren´t any surprises…
Already own the CM Pred, but this is to good to not own it!

But that means you didn't get the $200 discount ?

But one doesn't negate the other Jason - I mean - my collection is is an ecclectic mix of GK's, customs and mass-produced (as is yours) - and I STILL don't give a monkey's about edition size because I buy to keep, not re-sell (same for yourself).
We both have similar tastes, purchase habits and intentions - but have differing opinions regarding edition sizes.
Just goes to show - we're all (collectors in general - not just you & I) part of a varied and (dare I say it) unpredictable bunch - and we still respect each-other

Yeah I'm not too sure how that's gonna shake out... They probably let anyone check out with that code but if they go back and check later unsure if "I ordered from a local retailer" is gonna work.

Hopefully they are fair about it - maybe they will accept it if the retailer provides proof of purchase to them?

Yepp… full price without discount, it´s still "cheaper" than the direct import cause of the damn tax/customs…
Prime1 Dog Alien will arrive this week and will be nearly 500€ only for import fees…

I would message and ask if you could get the discount if you bought from a local, worth asking on the chance they do it ;p

Well - I'm glad it works out beneficially for you - but I'm confused why import duties should vary based on shipping country given it's source of manufacture is the same. I take it you deal with a local importer who absorbs that cost?

Yeah - always worth asking. Thinking about it though - PRIME1's profit will already have taken a hit selling through a retailer so it may well fall on unsympathetic ears.

The local wholesaler/retailer may have their own distributor agreement with the manufacturer (Prime 1). It’s essentially a bulk discount and/or discount for acting as distributor etc.
Depending on the contract the discounts can be quite significant. Those with bargaining power no way pay retail for pieces. Here in Australia I’m able to get Sideshow pieces and Hot Toys, at sometimes below cost with free delivery. And this used to apply to Prime 1 pieces too when they were acting as distributor to my distributor. Only issue was the lack of Exclusives.
