Angry Civil War #2 -Major SPOILERS!!!!

Ok, so Spider-man unmasked.
- Will it stick?
I hope not, needs a reverse Identity Crisis. Can't see it sticking long term.
- Did it NEED to be done?
NO! They seem out of ideas or going for stunts.

Joey Q's quote:
Marvel Editor-in-Chief Joe Quesada calls the unmasking ""one of the biggest revelations in comic-book history…a comic-book taboo."

It's not taboo, it's doesn't fit with the character. Others could have done it sure, but thought better of it. Are writers at Marvel sooo tired or writing costumed heroes? DD revealed, Iron Man revealed, Captain America Revealed and now Spider-man, who's left?

TOTALLY SUCKS!

Stop trying to draw readers in with shock tactics and headline grabbing events.

Just put books out on TIME with good , character driven storylines and nice artwork!

Its not exactly Rocket Science Joe!

I will agree with you all that it wasn't that BIG of a deal and not a huge event like it was hyped, but I give credit to Marvel that Civil War is something that hasn't been done before. After 45 years of marvel Comics they actually have come up with a new original idea that will actually have ramifications in the Marvel Universe for years to come. I am excited for this and looking forward to better stories like we have gotten from both Marvel and DC these last couple of years. Finally great storytelling has caught up with great art.About time

I like the concept of the arc, Civil War. The first issue, at least, was hot. One of the better Captain America scences in the last fewyears. But when it comes to Spidey...

It seems completely out of character for Peter to reveal his identity to the world. Has he forgotten about his wife and aunt? Does he realize that he also claimed he was moving out of Stark Tower? Peter would never reveal his identity and then move his entire family back to the New York neighborhood! What the hell kinda sense does that make?!?!

I created a post just for occassions like this, when Marvel drops the ball with the own history and characters. MARVEL, thank God I have my back issues cause youre not doing too well these days.

Marvel sucks big time, I don't buy any of their titles anymore. It's a shame because a decade ago I didn't buy anything else.

And its funny blob, because most would say this is Marvel's most prosperous time in its history:
hit movies
great merchandise
best creative talent in the industry

But the stories are not making history, ina good way, at least.

I think that this is not a bad decision or move. I love spidey but it seemed hard for them to come up with new stories for him. After 30 years something new has got to happen. The marriage came and there have been other things. But to me this is just a natural progression. There was not much left for him. When you think about it he was pretty much one of the only, if not the only, major marvel hero still unmasked with daredevil out now. So in a way it makes sense.

I like it. And to me it was big enough news for the new york papers to write about it, although I hate that they ruined it for the comic fans, and that makes me more frustrated since not all like spoilers, though I wanted to know. but it seemed to get more press than batwoman.
