I didn't know they had that alternate display choice! I'll definitely have it with a closed mouth and the gun.

Why didn't switchouts occur to me for this? Geez! Head AND arms? Yes please.
I'm liking the hexagonal base, evoking Nerv.
And like in the video, I think I'll have to have "Fly me to the moon" playing on loop near my display...

cant say im surprised, but at around 30" in a running pose with multiple switch outs and that insane base it seems worth the price of admission imo. another one and done as theyre too expensive to complete the line for me, but ive been waiting years for a large scale unit 01

I think $1200 is too much for this. Doesn't seem all that detailed compared to some of the Batman 1/3 stuff that's come out. Even with switch out parts, the price seems high.
I think it's more of a premium because of the fact that there aren't a lot of Evangelion pieces out there like this, so they're taking advantage.

I was hoping for lower, but I'm not surprised.
I passed on Voltron for now (and I'm too scared to look at it any more, because it's hard to resist), but this, I cannot pass up.
Many don't seem to appreciate the complexity and amount of pieces that go into these robot sculpts. "Detail" in most sculpts is simply something extra to paint, but these robots are comprised of many more pieces, large and small, that have to be individually painted and assembled. Igo explained as much with Voltron, in comparison to Galactus, and I'm sure the same applies to Evas.
Admittedly, I may be biased, as I love Unit 01. I'd sell my entire collection for it. It's my #1 license character.
