Pretty sure they know everyone wants a Big Chap

Hope they don't cut corners on production.
Easy pass, IMHO, the only true iteration for big chap is the cinemaquette ver as signed by giger himself, and I will the dog, well the sideshow version is definitely faithful as it was lifted off the original rod puppets from ADI, if this was a warrior, would consider, hoping prime1 or XM would try this On 1:3

This is the one to get for me. I didn't get the Dog Alien from SS back in the day and it bugs me since then. My favorite Alien design. Fingers crossed!

Clearly early WIP still, but I really like it, I am a little worried about a potential neck seem however...

The head shown attached is much nicer, and the second isn't offering much different, I'd probably ditch the second head option which would remove all worry about a seem and reduce the price.

DOG ALIEN Creature - ALIEN 3

The pose looks OK. Hope they can do a great paint app on it. Here is a custom paint job of the Alien 3 creature ... not bad (from Roswell website, a one-off) .....

You guys must have a lot of display space! The way the tail is posed it's going to require some serious real estate!

If they brought the overall height of the tail down towards the body a little more it would be much more space friendly.

I can already envision broken tail tips within months of these being displaying. Whooops!!

Thanks for posting the pics Matt, looks great! really like the pose. Won't be buying though, I only sold my ss alien 3 maquette a few months ago. Judging by those pics this one looks to be 1:3 also.

You're welcome. This is definitely 1/3, I much prefer the pose on this one to the SS version, but it remains to be seen how the details etc turn out, it looks to have a lot of refinement left to do.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

ADI only does the original prototype, then it's off to the chinese factory to mess it up. For alien and predator which is extremely intricate when it comes to casting and paint, it all comes down to how good the factories are not what the prototype look like (obviously the proto needs to be good to start with, otherwise garbage in garbage out).

So far coolprops have knocked every single bust out of the park, so high hopes.

I think this is just to wet the appetite, when they release 1/3 big chap sht will get real!

Very true!

I'll also add that a lot of times those molded castings also have to be simplified to make assembly faster and easier for factory production. In the same way the paint apps need to be simplified for the workers.

True FX studio quality costs big money! Those artists don't work for pennies on the dollar.
