I love the Absolute Format. I just think that this is a format that should be reserved for certain stories. I could be wrong but it seems like more Absolutes have been released lately and I think "is this a story that should be in this format?" I guess it is a matter of opinion but what stories should be released in this format? Or would these stories be better in an Omnibus?

Got my Y: The Last Man Omnibus recently.

I loved reading this monthly when it came out. Comics don’t phase me, everybody dies, everybody comes back and everything gets retconned but this series has what was for me a pretty shocking, unexpected and heartbreaking moment towards the end.

Great job by Brian K. Vaughn who I also saw a while back at a convention. His panel was definitely a highlight of the weekend.

I’ve got it on my list. The three HCs are different formats and sized and don’t display well together. I’m picking up this Omnibus to replace them, regardless of whether this is the same content.

Will do. I’m a big fan of all the creative talent in this volume, especially Wrightson, and remember loving these issues when they first came out. Plus, I’ve always loved the Cain and Abel characters who host these stories, like Uncle Creepy and The Crypt Keeper, and was really happy when they popped up in Gaiman’s Sandman work.

Just ordered Batman B&W Omnibus. Now I can get rid of my 3 HC volumes, all different sizes and trade dresses. They just don’t display well together.
