I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Is it true Urban is going for the next Batman role?

That would be interesting to say the least.

Rumored that he was in consideration but since they are going younger I doubt he will be in the Matt Reeves films.

I think they're looking for someone in their late 20s to mid 30s for the role since they are going for a younger Batman in the new films.

I think that was an "Urban" legend...

Seriously though, I think Karl Urban is awesome and he'd do an amazing job as the Bat.

He’d be good, but he’s pushing 47.

Aquaman 6.7/10

Finally got around to watching this today. It was ok, good in places. I preferred the on land moments, if I’m honest - Aquaman in a bar, Aquaman vs Manta etc. Most of the underwater scene’s felt like sci-fi cgi overload, complete with beams of light, fire explosions, lots of mechanical looking aquatic creatures, no sign of blood n’guts? One of the few underwater moments I did like was during the murky green, blue scene where Aquaman locates the golden Trident. Most of the cgi water effects, above ground atleast, look excellent.

Jason Momoa was great as Aquaman
Willem Dafoe as always added something.
Nicole Kidman and her acting skills helped boost the film.
Dolph Lundgren was good also.
Amber Heard as Mera was good, although I wasn’t feeling her performance compared to the 4 mentioned above.

I went into Aquaman knowing nothing about the character. And now I know how he came into being. The message appears to be - mongrels can be winners!

Diabalique (1996) 6/10

I had heard 1955 French version was awesome but don’t like to read subtitles so watched Sharon Stone and that Chaz guy from Usual Suspects remake instead. It was ok but I bet original would be way better if I spoke French

High Life (2018) - A father and his daughter struggle to survive in deep space where they live in isolation.

This is Claire Denis' sexy space thriller starring Juliette Binoche as a naughty nurse. How could I not see this movie?? Because of that heavenly synopsis, I thought I'd like it more than I did--and I may very well like it more upon a second viewing. It certainly had me thinking a lot about the story after it was over. I took points off because I found the violence disturbing and the suspension of disbelief level required is quite high. But Juliette Binoche has an extended scene in an "orgasmatron" so yes, I think I definitely will watch this again. 7/10
