UPS or Fedex for Shipment of High Value Collectibles

Hi - I wanted to ask if anyone knows any nuisances with UPS for shipping collectibles with a declared value of greater than $1000?

I had once sent a $1200 collectible by Fedex, they lost it and then only covered me till $1000 as that is their max for collectibles.

I wasn't sure if UPS has the same type of stipulations.

i've always used Fedex and never had any issue, even on damage - etc. they paid out fine.

But I have another item greater than $1000 that I need to ship and was not sure if I go with UPS this time

I'm just going with Fedex, read a lot of forums and UPS seems like makes it more difficult to pay claims.
