I'm not sure clear would be the answer, but certainly getting closer to the original, more muted tone of the render would obviously work.
And I have nothing against "pop", but the real "pop" element for this sculpt is the exquisite head/portrait, & all other design elements should enhance & support that focus, rather than senselessly compete with it.
Consider the following. In the last couple of weeks i received 3 statues, Thanos, Freeze, & Thor breaker, in that order. To make a long story short, when all 3 were displayed sides by side, the one element that stood out by far from the 3 was that loud, cheap looking Freeze tubing! I was stunned, and still am, on how a costume design element can actually draw more "attention" than a Thanos sitting on a "Cosmic Throne", or a Thor with a "Flaming Severed Head" at his feet!
Is that type of "pop" warranted, or deserved? Not even close.
