XM's business model will collapse if they lose the (unlicensed) North American customer.
Not saying you are 100% wrong, but Europe is a big market, and is licensed too. I think retail costs are a high there partly because it still costs the retailers a lot to have the stock brought there. They also have customers that buy from them direct, but live in other countries...and they also have several worldwide licenses. They want to reduce the shipping costs across the board.

Huh, isn’t sideshow directly blocking xm from obtaining licenses in North America? I know their relationship is not on the best of terms.

From a business perspective, why would I even want to engage in a price war with a local monopoly retailer in the first place. I would rather target sectors of the region where it is equally hard/expensive to obtain sideshow pieces.

Yea their business model is going to fail, lol all these American tears.

Come on, we’re all adults. Do you “hate” all movies where a character is smoking? Did you walk out every X-men movie where Logan lights up a cigar?

SS just has the exclusives on the big 3 1:4 scale licenses.... DC, Star Wars and Marvel. I think Koto has the exclusive license on 1:6 Marvel...

The only 1:4 scale statues Prime 1 has sold were the DC's New 52, everything else is 1:3 scale to get around SS strangle hold on the 1:4 licenses..

XM can expand their business into North America but will have to do other scales like 1:3 and 1:6.... which looks like the direction they're going in.

Disney sold it to them. Disney knows exactly what it's doing and its doing it for money. If Disney wanted it to it could sell the licenses to multiple companies in any territory. But why would they?
