1000000% agree. I was so disappointed to see that. I passed up the original Black Cat one because of the clear pole. I had them so much.

I don't sit directly in front of my display, I'm slightly to the right, so I can see the acrylic rod on her 100% of the time.

Koto did the rod as well as they could but it is still very noticable.

I don't use mine. I think here in the uk its not warm enough to worry about.
