To be fair, a Jessica Drew or Julia Carpenter Spider-Woman story would be pretty weak material too. The only way to beef up Jessica is to put her with the Avengers or attach her to Hydra. Maybe she will show up in Secret Wars?
I don’t think any Spider-Woman could carry a standalone movie. Nor do I think Madame Web can. This is going to be terrible.

I wonder if SpiderWoman might work better as a show instead of a movie. I am not sure about Julia Carpenter but I think there would be enough material for Jessica Drew to carry a movie or a show.
