Key Books After 1970

So I sold my complete comic book collection a few years ago and sometimes satisfy my fanboy side by occasionally buying a trade. I've been thinking, since I am getting priced out of the statue market, that I could perhaps invest said monies in some key books from the bronze age and up? I won't be getting books like Hulk 181 because they are too expensive but could get things like She-Hulk #1 or Spider-Woman #1 from the 80's just because those characters have so much potential but the books are still affordable. Suggestions?

Books such as Tomb of Dracula #10 (1st Blade) and Werewolf by night #32 (1st Moon Knight) are still within range of what your looking for. You can still get high grade to decent copies for a good price on either.

My suggestion? Don't "invest" in any of this stuff. Buy it because you want it, and if it happens to go up in value, great.

If you DO want to invest in something, purchase original comic artwork. At least it's unique.

Son of Satan #1 should be tops of your list.

That's an interesting point. I don't collect alot of original art so do these pages appreciate quite a bit (assuming they are not superstar artists like Byrne, Perez or Lee)?

That's a good suggestion. Got a nice ungraded copy of Marvel Spotlight 5 (1st Ghost Rider)

Werewolf By Night #32 is my grail (I go by Moon_Knight1971 lol) but that book is too darn expensive graded over 9.4. TOD #10 is on the list as well

Like anything else, there's no way to determine what will or won't go up or down in value. Like comics, the older stuff is established and you can be relatively sure that there won't be tons of fluctuation in value on average. Newer stuff is a shot in the dark.

Might try to get a page from that new guy drawing for Marvel...think his name is Hardman? Reminds me of Art Adams

Give Comic Link a shot. I've picked up some hi grade books for decent prices off of the auctions. You never know until you throw a bid out.
