Haven’t had a chance to open mine yet, does this one take some time to set up?

it does. if you follow the instructions it should be easy enough. the main issue is his "cape". It is very fragile and if it doesn't fit right away use the blow dryer trick. do not force it or it will snap on you.

Someone posted a few days ago about taking pics before setting up because there are a few packing materials to keep the parts secured and cushioned. I had to temporarily store mine and it certainly helped me knowing where the parts are placed as well as how to place the styrofoam.

I was able to use a hair dryer to the cape and get it to fit. It was actually really easy to do.

A very stressful piece to put together because of the horror stories going around, but when it's together ohh my. Ohh my. No issues other than sweat.

I wish I had taken the batteries out before putting this piece together.

Open mine last weekend and the cape was broken, what a bummer, contacted sideshow for a replacement, they said the would have to contact prime 1 or they offered $50, anyone have experience with getting replacement form prime 1 through SS?

Got mine and everything was good so far...that cape is very fragile by the way, i fear what can happen if i will ever have to remove it from the body in future.
It was a pain to assemble the whole statue together but once you finished it looks fantastic.
First P1 for me and very happy with it.

As long as you have a commitment do get a replacement patience may be required.
Good luck! The statue and EX portrait is worth it.
