Corum was a GREAT series. Loved those books.

I just got through reading the "Conan the Phenomenon" coffee table book. It was pretty good, though I wish it would have gone into more detail about the history of the Conan books in the 70s.

Teague? I have Conan: Ultimate Guide to The Worlds Most Savage Barbarian coffee table book. I've never heard of "Conan the The Phenomenon". Thanks for a great tip. Is the book worth a buy?

Loved everything Marvel did w/ Kull back in the day. Am very excited to see what Dark Horse is going to do with the character.

I don't know about the Conan: Ultimate book...what's that one like?

I liked CtP, though I'd definitely get it at a discount. Definitely at its best in the early going, about REH and the beginnings of the Conan saga. Great art, too.

I'd love to see all the Kull comics reprinted. In fact, I enjoyed Kull more than Conan back then, as he wasn't overexposed, and the new stories were better written.

Kull had quite the renaissance in the '80s. The 2-issue mini from '82 drawn by John Bolton was amazing, and the 10-issue series from '83 was very good and had beautiful covers from Jusko , Sienkiewicz, Golden, and Windsor-Smith..

This is a great thread, brings back so many memories!

Not only did First Comics tackle Elric and Corum, but they also gave a 3rd Eternal Champion a shot w/ The Dorian Hawkmoon mini. These characters along with maybe 6 additional champions were just great to read; both in paperback and in comic forms.
