Talking $1000 Action Figures

I cannot believe what some of these HT figures are going for. $400, $600, $800, +

I thought $200 was a lot, but you've got 1:6 plastic action figures now going for more than 1:4 statues. I think it's Iron Man mostly. What the heck happened?

On the bright side, this does bode well for HT continuing their lines and getting more licenses (Blade Runner or Matrix anyone). Plus I do have a Godfather which I believe goes for $400+.

Yah kind of expensive for these things? I only own 3 HT figured & I didn't even want to pay so much for them (Silk Spectre II, Iron Man mark 3 BD EX and War Machine).

the predator figures go for around 1000. pretty nuts, but the figures are awesome. I have yet to own any hot toys, but i do want the joker mms figure. I foolishly passed when it came out and now they go for more than twice retail.

I just picked up Iron man IV and VI and warmachine. I'm thinking of opening them up tonight and playing.

I also just got Srgnt Barnes and wondering if I have the energy to put him together as well.

Any HT IRON MAN figure is hot right now. With the release of Thor & Captain America (and the upcoming Avengers movie) he will only be getting hotter (especially with rumored IM cameos in Thor & CA). The figures are very limited and are made with an incredible level of detail (that you just can't get in a statue). When you want the best you turn to Hot Toys!
