This thread got spicey since I last checked.

I still think builts criticism is fair. In all the examples posted of the dancers they’re on their toes not flat footed like Abby. Also all of their knees and ankles stay relatively aligned unlike the staue.

I don’t think it’s as big an issue on such an animated piece but the over exaggeration is certainly there and does look somewhat unnatural. She’s still hot.

Abbey isnt flat footed at all, she's wearing skyscraper heels. The arch in her foot is just like the dancers.

You guys become fixated on the strangest stuff. She's based on a very stylized comic character. Who cares if her knee is bent a little funny. You might as well be criticizing her face for not having realistic features.

To hide that I have nothing to say.

But she's walking forward while most of the images posted are stationary.
I think the one that Samurai posted looks closest and that is anything but a natural pose to be in for the shin bone to be at that angle.

Again I see it but it doesn't effect my appreciation for this piece.

I just looked at photos of a bunch of hot women in high boots and saw similar curvature present a number of times. I’d post the evidence, but now I need a cold shower.

I think the card illustrates the opinion pretty well.

In all seriousness I think maybe what the problem is is that her pants are so tight, its causing the light to bounce off her at weird angles. Whats that thing in the desert where you think you see water but you really dont? Mirage, thats it- yeah her pants are giving me a mirage

I think the point is more like this: Most people do not find that over-extension attractive.

Everything else JSC does is obviously also an exaggeration, ranging from cheekbones to leg-to-body ratio, but those tend to be 'attractive' exaggerations.

In other world, it's not about realism at all, but whether it is an exaggeration/ change that reinforces the T&A nature of image/ sculpt or not. Just saying ...
