I still can't wait for Hulk to crush Iron Man later this year.

Nice work Tet.

With JR JR on the WWHulk art, rather than Deodato, Iron Man's pummelling should look glorious. Check out the upcoming issue of She-Hulk, I think shell head's getting nervous about the Green Goliath's return and what it might mean for him.

Tet, sorry to rain on your parade. LOL. but while I find these very informative I can't help but to think that this is unfair. I ask you a question.
if you were to do this for Spidey would you include the time when he had Capt. Universe's powers. I don't think you would because those isn't his powers. how about the Thing when he was Pinapple Thing, Thor when he was Lord Thor. my main gripe is that when someone talks about Iron Man, which IM are we talking about? the Gold IM? classic IM. stealth IM? when do I quit. but with the Hulk, it's always which Hulk?! dumb Hulk, Professor Hulk, Banner Hulk or even war Hulk. there is so many. even when Wolvy was War no one includes that for him. no one asks "Which Wolverine are we talkikng about? War Wolverine?" if everyone thinks that very incarnation of the Hulk as a different Hulk why can't people think the same as of Iron Man.
I mean, every armor isn't the same right? different character then. I'm sorry for raining on your fabulous thread but I had asked this before and it turned into a joke. I thought maybe here I could actually get some real different views on my question.

Would I include Captain Universe powers for Spidey? I would probably not, since he doesn't have access to them anymore and these abilities are characteristics of Captain Universe, not Spider-Man.

I do agree that when discussing the capabilities of an individual Iron Man armor, we need to be specific about which one we are talking about, just like we should be specific about which Hulk or Thor. I was originally going to organize the thread detailing each armor individually, but it would have simply been way too long. I don't consider the different armors to be different characters. They're all Iron Man armors and created by one man, Tony Stark. The majority of the abilities found in the earlier suits, exist in some form in the more modern ones. Generally, successive armors have become more powerful and versatile than the one before it. In contrast to other characters you mentioned, Wolverine, the Hulk, the Thing, and Spider-Man for the most part their powers are the accidents of fate. When their abilities have changed in the past, they have had little or no control over it. When Iron Man changes it is from design.
