For a really fun tongue-in-cheek horror film try out "Slither". I was really surprised at how good this was when I rented it.
Eight Legged Freaks is another one of this type.
And if you can find a copy on VHS or bootleg DVD try "Night of the Creeps".

Cemetery Man came out on DVD recently and it's very worth checking out. Funny, dark, surreal. Not the scariest film I'm recommending but worth checking out in October. Sex, death, zombies and boy-scouts.

awesome movie, one of the best horror movies from the 80's (almost as good as killer klowns from outter space ) and with the recent DVD release of Monster Squad (another amazing film by the same director, but more comedy then horror) i'm hoping Creeps will get a real DVD soon
