Ever seen a brick'n'mortar shop carry Sideshow?

So I'm in Wisconsin, which I realize is not NYC or Tokyo, but between Milwaukee and Chicago, I've been to some pretty decent comic shops, and every time I ask the owners if they ever sell any Sideshow/Hot Toys stuff, they clearly have no idea what that is. The most I ever see is some of the easier to get Koto statues. Is this stuff ever sold in physical shops? I just started collecting (mostly Sideshow PF statues) and it would be awesome to see some examples in person, since none of my pieces will even be here this year, but alas...

Kentucky here so not really metropolitan epicenter.

One comic shop doesn't deal with statues at all, focus a lot on card and board games. Other one has 1/6 or smaller statues, but a small selection and generally for over MSRP.

Then my personal shop carries all sorts of statues, including Sideshow. I'd say a dozen or so 1/4 at a time are in there. They are also good to order anything that is in "Previews" upon request.

Here in Barcelona you can find at least two big comic-book shops with a few Sideshow pieces, but most of them have only smaller pieces from Koto and the like, too.

There is however one shop which is specialized in merchandising (ie, they do not sell comic-books), who do even carry the odd Prime 1 piece.

So yes, I have.

My LCS carries some 1/4 scale and 1/6 scale statues, but not too many. Most of the ones I’ve seen on display have been around for awhile and the larger scale are not new releases. I know they can order them for customers and I have bought several 1/6 scale statues there ( Tampa, FL)

It really depends on whether or not a store owner minds having inventory sitting on display for months/years. One tiny store in my area usually has two or three 1/4-scale statues, and the megastore has gobs of statues of various sizes. The megastore starts charging more than MSRP after a certain amount of time passes, though, so statues tend to stay as decorations rather than merchandise.

There's a couple comic shops near me that carry some sideshow products. The larger one is listed as a sideshow distributor though I haven't tried to order any statues through them.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Had a few in Nebraska. Once Rocky's Vault liquidation started it soured them.

A few places around me do. One of them quite extensively.
They make great attention getters.
Most people have never seen stuff like this in person.

The wonderful 3rd Eye Comics in Annapolis, MD carries a lot of Sideshow pieces. I see most of them in person there.
