Done.

I find it humorous since I hate ebay but it worries me since I use the site frequently LOL.

Just changed mine too. At least this provides me with a via 'alibi' when my wife asks "who bought all those statues on ebay" . . . . "wasn't me . . . my account must have been hacked"

Nice of them to send out an e-mail letting everyone know. I found out this morning from Daily Mail UK.

Here's some info posted on the Daily Mail:
  • Attack made between February and March and affects 128 million users
  • Hackers infiltrated the corporate network after stealing employee logins
  • This gave hackers access to eBay customers' name, encrypted password, email address, home address, phone number and date of birth
  • Firm said there is no evidence to suggest PayPal accounts were affected

But security experts are warning hackers could still use personal details to commit identity fraud - even after the password has been changed

Reading further, independent security experts suggest that if you have used the same (ebay) password for other facilities like paypal, amazon, email, etc then you should change those immediately.

You have to change it yourself. Go to MyEbay then choose Account, then choose personal settings.
