Purchases you regret passing on...

I have a few that I passed on and when I try to back track the artwork has either been resold, the owner no longer wants to sell or they got wise and are asking for more $. I'm also pretty sure some of these OA owner are also on this site. Anyone feel tje same?

There was a couple nice Invaders pages on Fanfare several years ago for less than $100 each that I kept putting off buying. Once I decided to drop the hammer they were gone. They have since come up on eBay and other dealers sites for $250-400.

This is always a depressing to question to answer...
I'm going to think of Tahiti. It's a really nice place.

I'm sure there are pages which I regret passing on but I just can't recall them immediately (so maybe they weren't all that important ). However, I do have major regrets about selling some pages (my Alan Davis Excalibur cover and splash page in particular)!!

I missed the chance to make a nice offer on new mutants 98 cover before deadpool got extremely popular, now way out of my price range.

I hear you guys, I've experience or shared most if not all of what has been shared here. Ouch Spazzy, I know that left a deep wound. It's ironic but when I was collecting statues etc, I was never as conservative as I've become with collecting art.

Speaking of which, one of this moments that we've been discussing is happening to me right now as we speak and I don't know weather to wait it out or make the purchase. Dilema!

I had an opportunity to buy an original Watterson sketch back in '94 for $450. Haunts me to this day.

Years ago, I was in a camera shop and some guy came through with an Arriflex 16mm camera, a projector, and 2 16mm film reels (animated Batman and Superman cartoons). The store owner didn't offer the guy anything at all because he didn't deal with film. He suggested he take the camera and the rest of his stuff to a Goodwill and donate it. Months later, I started film school and could've used that camera and set up for years. I probably could've gotten all that stuff for under $50.

The other big one that gets me was when I first bought my GSXR back in the day. A fella approached me with a '79 Softtail for $1000 while I was looking for a bike.

Not really comic related, but, feels good to vent. Thanks.
