It's not so much that title for me as it is including Lucy as one of his 3 greatest achievements in film.

Lol.
I liked that one, though, if only for the eyecandy.

Oh yeah of course, but if he manages to make this another fifth Element, I'll be very happy. That movie is somewhat legendary for me, even if none of his others are.

I made the mistake of going to this film on Saturday. It did look incredible...but that's where the enjoyment ended. This is a mess. The acting was NOT good. There is no chemistry between the two lead characters, and Dane DeHaan seemed to be reading from cue cards or something. I can usually find something good to say, so I'll just keep it at there were some good visuals. But, the story and acting were poor. No need to go see this one unless you want to waste 2 hours and 17 minutes of your life. Thumbs down for me.

Only $20 million in ticket sales worldwide on opening weekend and with a budget of $180 million and who knows how much in advertisement, this is going to be a dud.

I was really looking forward to this film, but the reviews (even the positive one) are all echoing the same things about the actors, their chemistry and the lackluster story. Might have to wait for the blu-ray release...

Outside of the visuals I never thought this film looked great. Not a fan of either of the leads.

While I haven't seen their performance here I'd like to think this was their last chance to drive a production of this scale. At least for DeHaan anyway. The only time I thought he was decent was Chronicle. Even then it seems that role was written around his capability as an actor instead of him becoming the character.
