Seeing the BVS trailer makes me happy that we decided on Matt Reeves. Atleast he wont pander to snyders palette and style.

I bet it'll be connected to the DCEU just not a part of any larger narrative despite how they're painting this. I think it more or less means Reeves can do what he wants without concerns he'll break any continuity or step on anyone's tail so to speak.

I was annoyed at the start but I think this is actually what I want as a Bat fan personally.

I prefer the focus on character driven stories than slavishly furthering a plot device for a future event film. I don't know why everything that suggests a deviation from how Marvel has done stuff is automatically considered meritless. Last I checked Wonder Woman, Logan and Deadpool were all highly successful films that from molds Marvel can't or won't use.

Absolutely nothing has been confirmed by WB but rumours are that there is a Joker film being developed by Todd Philips and Martin Scorsese that will be an Elseworlds origin type film.
The rumour is that WB will have the current DCEU continuity and a second "Elseworlds" line that will feature have stand alone creative led projects. Seems like a recepie for profit in a cinema landscape in which only CBM's make money.
