How to make a Kickass (and cost effective) Statue Display!

Hiya folks!

This is both a tutorial and a collection thread!

I have only a limited space in the living room to display my stuff properly, so I decided to make that a display of my favorite character and make it a centerpiece worthy showcase.

I'm however, also, a rabid miser...but with a little innovation, 'inexpensive' can be 'effective' as well!

Top and base are polystyrene (ORAC decor) painted to look like wood

Glyphs are sculpted in Apoxie sculpt and painted. Here are close ups:





Yes there are non-Asgardians in there, but they will be swapped out in time...

Those are very cool. To ornate for my tastes but you gave me a great idea on how to build a base for my Detolfs. I've got to get that bottom shelf at least up a foot for them to look decent.

Glad to help. For me it had to be ornate as this was to represent Asgardian furniture

And here's a guide for how I built the base and hid the LED lighting wiring:
