I wouldnt risk it because I get my risers from the laser creations store and they dont seem sturdy enough for that heavy of a piece. They due sell thicker risers but I dont know. It would just make me too nervous.

I need to get some risers as well...my displays look good, but they definitely need to be raised up towards the back of the shelves in order to show off the busts towards the back...

Acrylic risers can get expensive so I use, believe it or not, beanie baby boxes, the kind that open towards the middle. You can get a case of 25 off eBay pretty cheap seeing that no one collects them anymore. Split the boxes and you have 25 short cube risers and 25 tall cube risers.

Here's the place I used for some risers. Good selection and quick delivery.
http://www.misterplexi.com/risers.html
I went with them because I just happen to like the circular bases because of shelf space issues. They also have a good selection of heights. For example: this was the only place I could find a 6" diameter with 3' height which perfectly fits my Dark Phoenix FS. Most other places had 1", 2" or 6" heights. Since the Phoenix is on a corner shelf, the circular riser just gives me just enough room to fit an extra MB or two in front of her. I'll try and post a pic.

I got a couple from him, and while I mean no disrespect to him, I don't like anything with a logo on it .. and before anyone comes down on me, I would feel the same way about any logo, not just statueforum's.
