While i believe there was a real effort to keep the run time down as much as possible, it left some scenes that just didn't make sense to me and took me out of the film while watching.
1. When the Skrulls are interrogating / mind probing Carol it is mentioned that they determined she was from C53 (Earth) and are "on our way". About 3 mins later Carol is escaping the Skrull ship and they are already in orbit around Earth. Yet the Kree Starforce seems to take half the movie to cover the same distance.
2. Why do 3 Agents of SHIELD (Keller, Fury and Coulson) respond along with the cops to the report of a woman in a laser tag outfit crashing through the roof of a Blockbusters? Seems more like a prank call than something SHIELD would be interested in.
3. How are both Coulson and Keller almost instantly replaced by Skrulls once they arrive at the Blockbusters? Seriously, that must had happened within 30 seconds of screen time.
4. How does Fury get to the bar before Carol and is waiting for her to arrive if he didn’t know where she was going?
5. The Skrulls just show up inside Maria’s home.
Seems like something was lost in the editing. It is mentioned just before Fury confronts Carol at the Blockbuster that she activates a beacon in her suit, but I wouldn't expect this alone explains all of the things mentioned above.
