I barely made it through the first PA. I attempted one of the sequels...don't remember which one. I didn't make it. These films are painfully boring IMO.

Isn't the whole idea of the PA films to use "no names"? This was cheating, as she pulled off a decent performance (with the garbage she was given).
The rest of the actors are pretty bad.. the scares are... not there at all (same with the suspense, which there is none), and the ending, well.... let's hope this is the last PA. It actually ties the series in a nice little bow, so it could and should end with this one (should've ended with the last one, but... milk that franchise, fools!).
3/10 (would've been a 4 for Newton's acting, but she's not "new" to the game, so that's cheating for the franchise lol).
I did appreciate the subtle (and not-so-subtle) tie-ins to the previous films (the environmental ones, not the mobile menace).

I might just skip PA4 and pretend everything ended with PA3. Doesn't sound like I'd enjoy it anyway.

Wow! My opinion couldn't be more different than yours. One of my favorite films of all time.

For sure.
I'm sorry, but as ludicrous as a haunting sounds to an adult when coming from your child, anything that's scaring your teenage (ie she can articulate what's scaring her)/level-headed kid that much bears investigating.. or at the very least, letting her stay with relatives/etc somewhere else.
I still think the guy in the first movie's the stupidest of all the adults in the franchise, but these parents are #2 (iirc PA 2 & 3's adults weren't quite as dim-witted lol).

I don't know, after what happened with the knife, both these seems worse than the boyfriend from part 1.

Anyone can misplace a knife... I forget how the Dad reacted following that, but he seemed the less intelligent of the two parents, for sure.
First the household item early on that almost kills his daughter, then the event later on that almost kills her.. again... and he witnesses the (unrelated to daughter's events) knife event firsthand, and he's still entirely "herp derp" about protecting his family.
Shame on the Mom for leaving that kid alone for as long as she did, though...

I'm surprised to see quite a few people don't like BR but for me, it will always be one of the greatest scifi movies ever made. Replicants aside, if ever there was a glimpse into the future, I reckon the world we see in BR is it.
