I should be receiving Guyver 1 this week. The anticipation for finally owning a high quality Guyver collectible and my first Prime 1 piece made me want to revisit the series. I had only ever seen the original 1989 OVA series and the 2 live action films. So it was a super nice surprise to find out there was also a 26 part series from 2005. Cannot believe I didn't know about the 2005 series. Binged that in a coupe of nights and I wish there was more. I don't see how I can avoid ordering G3 now.

I actually briefly looked into getting the manga. Doesn't seem so easy to acquire a definitive version. Do you know what I should be looking for and from where?

You won't be able to get completely up to date but it's only got a volume missing, this will take you well beyond where the 2005 anime has taken you.

Congrats! You definitely won't be disappointed. I have had mine for several months and still stop and stare at it and change the pose from time to time lol

So Guyver 1 finally arrived...

I am absolutely in love with this thing. Not only is Prime 1's craftsmanship on a level I have yet to experience until now but this sculpt is friggin amazing.

I prefer to take pictures in natural light, but I couldn't wait until the following day and I was too lazy to bust out the ladder to replace the bulb that went out in living room. So as you can see from the pic above I just played around with shadows:
