I don’t think the KO ones look any like the real ones though. Last I looked they look goofy and fake even to the untrained eye. They’re also either sold as loose goods or in boxes that are missing the Kotobukiya and marvel or DC label.

These ko must be taking a share of their profits for sure. Probably that's why the prices keep increasing to the consumers to make up the losses to them. I see those ko sellers are selling an insane amount these days online. Like 50-70 while the real ones sell like 5 in comparison. Some will not know thinking the koto products are subpar quality and will resell them as real not knowing those were fake to begin with thinking they got a super deal for 23.00 on a 100.00 bishoujo.

I agree in person the quality stinks overall. Seems like some collectors just wanted cheap. They are similar to the real ones for the newbie collectors who doesn't look at these sites sadly. The ko started with loose and no boxes. But now they've evolved to have the same boxes as the real ones. It takes so m much more work to be sure we get genuine koto statues when buying these loose or even boxed second hand now because many buyers who buys these ko's doesn't even know they are buying fakes when it's time for them to sell. Most of those buyers are just impulse or new buyers who has no idea unlike many experts here who's been collecting and growing the web for hours all day long.

Thanks. Also on their Twitter Feed. They are spotlighting this one and explaining their design considerations and highlighting her awesomeness.

I think it is all the detail that is going to make me cave and get this. Just not sure if I will pre-order or wait a bit and hope for a deal.

This is so cool. The sleeve they are including makes it look like an action figure box and even has the flap that hangs on a rod on the store.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.
