I can't say I'm surprised that even the people who work there are confused as to the difference between Maquette/PF.
Just call them all the same thing already. What does it even matter.

I actually love the piece but the price is waaaay too high! I wonder if Sideshow will consider lowering it if the preorders don’t go well but I doubt it.
The smaller size is a big selling point for me as space is my primary issue.
Love the dynamism of the pose and the fact that there is the chain hook but I’m not entirely sold on the guitar gun yet...
The alternative head is out of character despite the fact that I like that hairstyle on Lobo more. The skin seems way too blue compared to the comics.
Maybe I’m one of the few, but I don’t see the appeal on the Lobo PF...I find it boring as hell and it just lacks dynamism when compared to many other statues out there. On this new Lobo maquette, there’s much more storytelling.
Also, I like the design which is more stylized-comicbook...ish whereas the P1 Lobo has a sort of hyper realistic rendering which I don’t like at all!

I really like this statue but the price is way off. I love the triple neck guitar/gun and the cigar. Maybe I will look at when discounted later.

Good thing I already have the Bane PF then ...and it's already my favorite Bane statue. Because a maquette comes with a maquette price. Maquette prices suck the big one!

It should’ve just been painted white. This statue costs too much money to buy a character painted the wrong color.

Nevermind the blue skin, I'm not a fan of the concept. The idea of linking Guitar Hero and Lobo goes against my preference for bad arse and intimidating. For that price and "maquette" label, at least go all out ludicrous and include Dawg on the base playing "fetch" with some alien's limb. It would push the concept and justify the price more.
As it is it feels like a PF to me. And while the concept doesn't fit me, maybe it works for others.
