2nd Xbox 360 Died -RROD
Well, this is my second Xbox 360 to get the "Red Rings Of Death". I called Microsoft and they said they would repair this one free of charge even though it's out of warranty. My plan after I get this one back is to trade this one in and buy a new one . Does anyone know if the newer chipped "falcon" models have a better fail - rate ? I'm also planning on getting an extended warranty w/ Bestbuy (2 years).

I got one too ,but it's used for Blu-rays mostly. I am starting Resistance 2 now .

From what i have read on it, you have to keep trading in or repairing till you get one that doesnt crap out.
Im getting a PS3 in a month or so, and wont bother with a xbox due to the fact its such a poor design or cooling inside the case. Which is why a lot of peoples xbox fry on them.

I thought the elite model didn't get the RROD. You may want to look into it. I am not totally sure on this though, it's just what I've heard. I traded in my old one for the elite when it came out.

I read somewhere that the new ones use a lead free solder and it is even more likely to melt
