Ok so the only drawback is you have to pay for PS Plus, but then if its true they bought out that one company to create a much better network its prob will be on par or better then the 360 is now.

So for this console war, i would say PS won it out of the gate already.

Don't forget, Sony has decided to completely go in the opposite direction as far as used games and "online authentication" is concerned.

Full support of the used games market, no forced online connection, no camera watching and listening 24/7, and the very affordable price point of the PS4, is an extremely excessive amount of nails in Microsoft's coffin. That's not even considering the amazing exclusives, the raw processing and graphical power, the easy and instant social media sharing, all of the bonuses that will come with PS+, and the incredible support of independent gaming development and publishing. Sony has hit every single note perfectly. Unless Microsoft drastically changes the mission objective and some aspects of their hardware, they don't stand a chance.

The PS plus is sick , The amount of AAA titles they hand out for free almost feels like piracy lol.

But for someone like me, i dont play games anymore like when i was a kid. Im only interested in specific games and how well the network handles. I dont mind paying for online play since i do it with the 360 now, but thats cause its a solid network compared to PSN now.

But if the new PS4 is solid online that Plus will be a bonus for sure and will make PS4 and WiiU the top consoles.

Cause a lot of the console wars and comments going on tonight is all about the hard core gamers. When parents see those cheaper price points and being able to buy some cheap used games with this economy. PS4 will take that market as well.

PS Plus is definitely worth it.
You get a lot of quality titles for free.

Can't say I was overly impressed with the titles but the price is right

Looks like I'll be getting a PS4.....

Microsoft is caught between a rock and a hard place now because they know Sony will beat them over the head with the activation fee and online requirements... after this announcement by Sony I wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft backs away from the activation and online requirement rather quickly....

Not sure what to think about the aesthetics of the console. Its certainly not the most beautiful looking piece of kit ive seen. Surprised by how little it will cost which is a huge plus. I had planned on picking up another PS3 but I think I'll hold off and pick up the PS4 instead.
