I'd buy that diorama in a heartbeat! It's the best I've seen.

Agreed. What I wouldn't do to have this statue in my collection. BTW, I had a chance to chat with Clay at the Baltimore ComicCon this past September. He was very gracious and a true gentleman.

That he is. And another great thing about Clay is that he is a truly great storyteller... he had me laughing my ass off the other day with a story her told me about transporting his sculpts...

and Tet... you have hit the naill on the head by saying that this IS THE grail piece...

Amazing Clay, just amazing.

You wanted comments on the different color schemes on the Surfer. I have to say, I'm just not feeling the 'white' in the pictures that were posted (the one that looks two-toned). I'd say stick with the silver.

For the love of all that is holy, SOMEONE PICK UP THIS PIECE!

I'd raise an eyebrow at the first person who says they didn't.

I wasn't aware that not liking this piece was an option.

Just bust'n chops bro. You came out with all this fancy talk but you never actually said you like it. Your 100% right - Not loving this piece isn't an option.

Yo G... you aren't lying...

how can you not appreciate the artistry that went into this. The surfer's hands convey more expressiveness than 95 percent of anything that is on the market. I think that Clay will be remembered for being a pioneer...

That's why I love collecting staues, there are so many choices for us collectors to choose from. Between Sideshow, Bowen, Hard Hero, Moore, & others, we have variety of statues to choose from. Each manfacturer has a different style like comic book artist differ from one another. This piece is very well done and Marvel or another company with a license, would be foolish not to see it through. I have gotten use to larger pieces (ie: Sideshow pieces are large as well as Hard Hero and Bowen is headed in that direction), and most consumers (particularly Americans) like big things. This piece should be produced on a larger scale but I'll take the smaller one as well.
