Well when DC first introduced the CoverGirls line they were $99 and now they are I believe $125. I figure that the prices were bound to increase and they might go higher.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

So. I guess I am so confused. There is going to be no statue line at all? What about all the existing announcements they made. They just trashing them

What does that mean? I hope they at least let other manufacturers continue their lines: Designer Series, Black & White, Batman Cowls, etc.

Whatever has been solicited to this point will still be made from what I understand. Case in point; the Jim Lee and Mike Mignola Batman B&W should still be shipped out because they were shown months ago but will probably be the last ones.

I got the impression that they might be licensed out.

Words from Jim Lee:

"We want to produce those collectible and serve those fans, but we will probably shift to a higher price point collectible and more of a licensing model, working with manufacturers we already work with."

That is interesting, I like to know how much is the price increase and whether they improve the paint apps. Most of the time with DC Direct I like the sculpt but the paint apps are not good.

So basically they're farming it out but Jim Fletcher might be part of design and more than likely will be approving the products as needed through the licensed process.

If the price is going to be higher, then the quality better increase too.

I get the feeling that what it means is the Iron Studios pricing model. So yeah, better looking and more detailed statues, but no more below $100 pricing on smaller statues and no more under $200 1/6th scales.
