Anyone know if this will be charged a 25% tariff when ship from China into the USA?

First off, tarrifs were not increased to 25%. Tarrifs on some items were increased by 25%. Tarrifs are specific to the type of item being imported.
Check the United States international trade commission website. I searched “statue” and it listed 20% but I didn’t read the details as to what “Rates of Duty 2” means as the website didn’t display well on my iPad.

You can try and email Queen Studios to see if they know answer. Not sure they care since they don’t pay it but a good part of their market is international.

Given that it’s based on a real person (sort of) does it really matter in this particular case who sculpted it?

The most painful thing will be that $900 deposit. Not sure why they had to make it so high, but it's what might have me passing on this unfortunately.
Specfictionshop let me negotiate down the WW deposit, but not sure if that will be possible with this one...

Each of these are an investment to make if they are to look like the advertisement.
They don't want to mess with fence sitters.

If you use the payment plans that are available from some of resellers, I believe the deposit amount could be lower.
For example for Aquaman the deposit was $800 for the deposit and balance on shipping option, but if you used the payment plans the first payment was under $500.
